August 1, 2025: Have You Read Our Latest Newsletter? Here it Is!
Hello and welcome to August!
I hope you’re doing well in your little corner of the world, as I am in mine. While some of you have been enjoying the warmth of summer throughout July, it’s been quite cold on this end.
So I’m happy to say goodbye and welcome a new month with a deep longing for warmer days.
As I wait for that to happen, let’s talk about what is going on in the HSP world. Remember to reply with your thoughts or a new resource you think might be useful to HSPs everywhere.

Sensitive Men Rising Update
Did you know that the Sensitive Men Rising documentary is now available to watch for free? Will Harper, the film director, and the Foundation for the Study of Highly Sensitive Persons have decided to offer this 3-part docuseries as a gift to the world.
And while the film’s production was facilitated by donations from a Kickstarter campaign, there’s still much that needs to be done. So, if you would like to support the promotion and distribution of Sensitive Men Rising, donations to the foundation are welcome.

Invitation to Participate in HSP Research

Are you a Highly Sensitive Person aged between 25 and 45 years? Do you reside in the UK or the USA and have experience with parental conflict during your childhood?
If your answer is Yes, you’re invited to contribute to the study of Highly Sensitive People in a research project titled, “Parental Conflict through the Lens of Highly Sensitive Individuals”.
The 2-part study features a 5-minute online survey to understand your demographic, HSP test score, and the extent of parental conflict experienced as a child. It also includes a 60-minute online interview to discuss your experience and perspectives in detail.

Coming Up in August
Tomás Goes to Oliver’s House
Written by Xiomara Gallego–Bernard, Tomás Goes to Oliver’s House is an upcoming book for every sensitive child who deserves to feel seen and supported.
It is the second children’s book by the award-winning author after Tomás Returns to School, which shares ways to manage emotions and channel inner strength in preparation for first grade.
I couldn’t find a link to pre-order Tomás Goes to Oliver’s House, so you need to wait for August 8 when it launches. But if you’re in the US, Xiomara Gallego–Bernard is running a giveaway campaign from now until August 10.
The winner will receive signed copies of both books (in English or Spanish) and a bookmark or activity sheet.
