About the Invitation to Participate in HSP Research

Learn about Participating in Research

Gayathri Mekala is a final-year BSc psychology student at the University of Derby, UK, researching the spiritual interests of Highly Sensitive People (HSPs).

She is currently looking for participants for her research study on the role of the HSP trait, mystical experiences and healthy schizotypy personality involvement as predictors of spiritual intelligence.

Your participation will be voluntary, anonymous, and through an online survey lasting 20-25 minutes.

Given the relatively low percentage of HSPs globally, I’m actively seeking participants within our communities to ensure the study’s success and potential contribution to the scientific field.

Please note that starting the survey does not mean you have to see it to the end. If you feel uncomfortable during the process or change your mind, you can withdraw your participation at any stage.

So, you can rest assured this invitation to participate in HSP research is authentic and ongoing until March 30, 2024.

Here’s the invitation message (lightly edited for clarity):

Greetings,

As an HSP, I was thrilled to discover your page and your work on raising awareness for HSPs – thank you :).

I’m a final-year BSc psychology student at the University of Derby, UK, researching the spiritual interests of HSPs guided by Dr. Malcolm Schofield.

This study involves a 20-minute online anonymous survey open to everyone aged 18+.

Given the relatively low percentage of HSPs globally, I’m actively seeking participants within our communities to ensure the study’s success and potential contribution to the scientific field.

Participating in the survey or sharing this opportunity with your audience would be immensely appreciated.

With the backing of my university, I am determined to publish this research, and recruiting more HSP participants enhances our chances.

Please let me know if you’re interested in supporting this endeavour.

Thank you for your time,

Gayathri.
